Eagle Alloys Corporation (EAC) is the leading global supplier of Pure Tungsten crucibles. EAC can offer a wide variety of sizes of high-temperature Pure Tungsten crucibles and can supply custom crucibles sizes with short lead times. Eagle Alloys Corporation is an ISO Certified Corporation and have been supply the highest quality high-temp tungsten crucibles for over 35 years.
Eagle Alloys Corporation can supply a pure tungsten crucible up to 30” Dia and 1.500” Thick. Please contact our courteous sales team to assist you with sizing requirements.
Tungsten crucibles are mainly used for high temperature furnace, hot zone of sapphire/crystal growth and quartz continuous melting furnace in the vacuum or inert gas under 2600℃.
According to customer requirements, we can provide regular density 18.3 g/cm3 (or less) and high-density crucible (18.5 g/cm3) or higher, which has less deformation after heated. We can supply Pure Tungsten crucibles produced by five different methods: tungsten powder metallurgy press and sintered, riveting, tungsten sheet stamping, tungsten plate spinning, and machined.
Powder metallurgy sintering molding process is the most widely used for preparation of large size crucible (4” Dia up to 28” Dia). Riveting and welding crucibles using tungsten plate formed and fixed by welding is suitable for the large size crucible with thin wall.
For micro and small tungsten crucibles, we can use the forging tungsten rods and machining or tungsten sheet using a stamping process. The spinning process is suitable to produce thin wall tungsten crucible with high technical requirements. Tungsten crucibles are typically supplied to meet the requirements of ASTM-B-760. Upon request, Eagle Alloys Corporation can supply Tungsten crucibles per AMS 7897, AMS 7898.
Tungsten has the highest melting point of the refractory metals, high density, and low coefficient of thermal expansion. It offers exceptionally high strength and good electrical resistivity at very high temperatures. Unalloyed Tungsten is very difficult to machine and fabricate. Eagle Alloys can furnish finished parts in this material in relatively quick turnaround times.
Typical applications for Tungsten are Filaments, vacuum furnaces, electrical contacts, glass-to-metal seals, supports, electrodes, cathodes and anodes, electronics, radiation shielding, medical devices, x-ray targets, ion implantation parts, windings and heating elements for electrical furnaces, sputtering targets, heat shields, heat bodies, tungsten boats and crucibles.
